Leadership on film

Welcome back Nic Askew and his inspirational Monday morning films.
Nic's films have been featured before in this blog as part of his 'soul biographies' series. Now he's inspiring us with reflections on Leadership. I'm confident there's an extremely high EI component to the content of each one ~ as in this first one on empathy.

Through Deeper Perspective

Beautifully filmed.

More Great Work

Here's a sneak preview, from Michael Bungay Stanier, of his short movie Do More Great Work.

Do More Great Work

It's fab. We love it. And it says in a funky way what we're all about and can achieve with you.

The Power of Full Engagement

This book is one of my current reads. It claims that performance, health and happiness are grounded in the skilful management of energy.

It gives a link to a free online questionnaire that gives you a snapshot of your overall level of engagement. So if you would like to find out how engaged you are at work and in life, go to:

The Corporate Intuitive

The audio link below connects you to an interview with Steve Nobel from Alternatives in London and Alison Pothier, an ex investment banker (Wall Street and the City of London).

The talk covers how to engage your intuition in the world of work / business.
I found it a refreshing an inspirational dialogue between 2 very grounded and authentic people, exploring congruence and preserving self identity at work.

Creativity and the Beginner's Mind

Those of you familiar with our work will know that we sometimes refer to Beginner's Mind ~ the attitude of not worrying about being wrong, of not holding back for fear of a mistake, the willingness of curiosity so necessary for creativity.
In this TED lecture, Ken Robinson entertains the audience with examples of why this approach (that children are so good at) is essential for creativity.

Enjoy.
